Massage Therapy - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What should I expect during my first massage session?

Your first session includes a brief consultation where we discuss your needs, preferences, and any health concerns. You’ll then receive a customized massage tailored to your body’s needs.

2. Do I need to arrive early for my appointment?

No, you can fill out your massage intake form online before your appointment. All sessions are 50/80 minutes hands-on massage and 10-minutes for pre/post consultation and dressing.

3. What should I wear to my massage?

Wear comfortable, loose clothing if you’re receiving Thai massage or other movement-based therapy. For traditional massages, undress to your comfort level—your privacy will always be respected with proper draping.

4. Will I be covered during the session?

Yes, you will be professionally draped at all times, with only the area being worked on exposed. Your comfort and privacy are a top priority.

5. Can I talk during my massage?

Absolutely! Some clients prefer silence, while others like to chat. Feel free to communicate at any time, especially if you need an adjustment in pressure or have any concerns.

6. How much pressure should I expect?

Pressure is customized to your comfort level. Whether you prefer light, medium, or deep pressure, just let your therapist know.

7. What if I fall asleep?

That’s completely normal! Many people fall into a deep state of relaxation during their session, which is a great sign that your body is benefiting from the massage.

8. How often should I get a massage?

It depends on your needs:

  • For relaxation & stress relief – Once a month
  • For chronic pain & tension – Every 1–2 weeks
  • For injury recovery – As recommended by your therapist

9. What if I need to cancel my appointment?

We have a 12-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations within 12 hours will be charged 50% of the service fee, and no-shows may be charged the full session amount. You may cancel/reschedule up until 12 hours before your appointment, after that please send me a text message.

10. Do I need to tip my massage therapist?

Gratuity is always appreciated but not required. The industry standard for massage is $10-$20 per hour.

11. What should I do after my massage?

  • Drink plenty of water to flush out toxins.
  • Avoid strenuous activities for a few hours.
  • Stretch gently and take time to relax.
